2010 Seattle Mariners

After a 20-plus game improvement over the 2008 campaign in 2009, Seattle Mariners Manager Don Wakamatsu looks to get his team past a 3rd place finish in the AL West. Returning to the squad are Ken Griffey Jr., Felix “The King” Hernandez and pitcher Erik Bedard. The team also signed some high profile free agents to include Chone Figgins, Casey Kotchman, and outfielder Eric Byrnes. The team also signed Milton Bradley in December 2009. Newly acquired pitcher Cliff Lee underwent surgery to remove a floating bone spur in his left foot and will not be able to make Spring Training.

The entire coaching staff, with the exception of 3rd Base Coach Bruce Hines who will be replaced by Mike Brumley. Retired superstar Pitcher Randy Johnson will throw out the Ceremonial First Pitch at Safeco Field.

Although the Mariners have never made it to a World Series, some believe they still have produced some of baseball's best individual players.
